Way too much fun on Monday!

I took a vacation day Monday and spent the day on the track and getting instruction at the Autobahn facility near Joliet. The little red car held together and ran as fast as I dared (tires were moaning but I managed to keep them on the pavement). The instruction (Todd) was outstanding which included ride-with in my car, following him in his track car and then a hot session in his track car - my helmet is covered with bugs from that but I aspire to drive like that (I am not likely to develop those type of skills)! After 5 track sessions, I couldn't stop grinning hauling the car home - car has lots of dead bugs, wheels coated in brake dust, less rubber on the tires, side mirrors loose from the speed and I just tightened up the seat brackets from all the jostling around - great way to spend a Monday.

Yeah, I couldn't pass up buying the track photographer shots of the car. If they come out, I'll post.

How was your Monday?

My Monday was not nearly that good. Sorry I missed it, but maybe next year.

Join us for the day at Byron Dragway on Oct 17 and get more high speed fun???

I am thinking about Mid Ohio next year before LCS, any interest Tim??

Lee: Wish you could have come - we all know these cars are just big go-karts, it was fun driving like a go-cart in a performance setting. I will be out of town on the 17th. I have thought about Mid-Ohio, but other than a different track and consecutive days, I think the experience might be similiar but a lot closer - we'll see, maybe do both!
