Cruizer: Welcome to the madness. If you need to see a finished Factory Five let me know - always willing to show what a "rookie" can build.

Default Great -

Great, thanks.

I may look you up at the next meeting - My biggest concern is that I won't fit (6'2", 210)- I'd like to sit in your car and see how much wiggle room is left, if possible.

I'm an Engineer, but not "that" type of Engineer. I'm a rookie at cars, but looking forward to the build. Thinking of buying rebuilt components instead of getting a donor car.

I have seen several very large guys in Cobras. Move the pedals, lower the seat, smaller steering wheel. You will fit.

Lawrence build his FFR to fit him.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.

I hear Lone Star has a bigger car - 2" wider, 4" longer? Does it make a difference? Or, is it always down to the seat location and wheel?

Jam: I sligthly over 6' and unfortunately weigh more that you - I can fit in and with the Street Performer seats. FYI, the WCCC folks also have Lone Star cars in the group so you could try them out too.

I have a Lone Star.
The 4" is inside the cockpit. The doors are 4" longer. Lots of room inside.

Hi Cruizer
Welcome to the WCCC ! My son is 6'4, 235+. He fits in my MK1 with no problem. Or at least he hasn't said anything to me. And he's put a lot of miles on it !

cruizer...I, like Tim drive a FFR roadster. If you'd like, come on over and take a look! Woodstock isn't really all that far. I'm 6-2 and 230 and my "yeti" son is 6-5 and 260. No problem with comfort. I jump in the car and drive lonnnng distances w/o complaints.
PM me some time, we'll work it out.
Sten
