Default April 9 - 100 days Snake & Eggs

To the WCCC membership,

I am confident that y’all have been waiting with bated breath for this very important announcement…………………By way of background I would like everyone to know we have conducted silent surveys of most of the membership of the WCCC. We have taken into consideration the demographics, the needs, the desires and the new direction of our little group.

I want everyone to know that in the interest of fairness we even considered those unfortunate individuals that actually drive red cars.

Now without further a due I would like everyone to know we have decided to continue in the quest to visit every single Twisted Kilt within the driving area.

The kick-off meeting, formerly know as the 100 day snake and eggs, will take place on Saturday April 9. Also in the interest of fairness we have decided to visit the Twisted Kilt in Rockford, Illinois.

Most surveyed feel there is a potential of cold morning weather that time of year. Accordingly, rather than being a breakfast meeting we will break with tradition and make this an early lunch event. We plan on being at the Twisted Kilt between 11:00 and 11:30am.

For those of you that want to arrive in a caravan; there is a group that plans to meet at the Ranger Station in Hampshire, IL. That group will leave the speedway at 10:30 am. If you want to meet up there, plan you time accordingly.

Rich

Hey, I liked the Rockford Files staring James Arness as Paladin. I remember it just like yesterday, watching Ruth Buzzy, who played Kitty, the blond private investigator, who with her sidekick, Kato, were able to leap tall buildings without any knowledge of their existence. Even though there missions were impossible, they managed to find truth, and justice, and could look up in the sky at birds and planes on every show, They had a dog if I recall correctly, Sky King…who always came home and saved little Timmy every week….Yeah… those were the days…Radio at is best.. Got even better when color radio came along. Rockford...it doesn't look like Kansas anymore...count me in...

The reference to Sky King reveals your age. Penny, I think was the daughter.

Actually, I read about "Sky King" in a history book, along with George Washington, Betsy Ross, and Our Own "Ralph" helping invent the first wheel...

OK, Steno, what did you do to your engine? At least you're on your way to putting it back together, I'll start pulling mine out tomorrow to find out why I twisted (not tilted) a push rod. Me thinks a lifter or a valve guide went bad and probably also ruined the cam. Will learn more after the dis-assembly.

I thought you had to shave more than your legs to drive a blue car!

Renlady, please do take pictures of that "shaving o' the balls" festival. Cause the next time you'll see 'em will be at the Parkside Restaurant in Huntley during the Turkey Testicle Festival!
