Default Featherlite Trailer for sale

Many of you admired my Featherlite trailer on trips to London. I am making the executive decision that although I love the trailer, I do not use it enough to justify having the equity tied up in it as well as paying storage. This is the 14 foot model that fits a Cobra nicely and tows like a dream. It is lightweight and with the Cobra on it, you did not notice that it was behind out Durango which did not have the 5.7 or the lower gear ratio for towing. It probably could use four new tires. They look good, but it has been resting for a while.

I am offering this to WCCC members first. Asking $4,000.

I'm set in the trailer department, myself, but 4 grand for a Featherlight (assuming it is in good shape) sounds like a steal. Some photos might help you find a new home for it.

Post more info, like is it a wide body, open or enclosed, axle weight specs, deck height, beaver-tail yes or no, how many tie downs, winch yes or no, brake specs, does it have extras like tool box, spare tire and rim, and pictures. Many uses for trailers and with specs you could get more suggestions on more sites to list for sale.

I do not have any recent pictures. This is an open trailer that is all aluminum. It weighs approximately 1300 empty. It has four wheel electric brakes with the mandatory breakaway battery. There is no spare tire and no toolbox, although they could be mounted easily. The trailer is in excellent shape and made one trip to London, a trip to Byron and an aborted trip to London. It could use a trip through a truck wash to restore it's luster. It is the standard width. It has removable fenders. There are four recessed tie downs. I did have to get custom short length tie downs for the front. The first year I used chains up front and that worked well. I have some extra tie down straps that I could include, but will probably keep the fronts as I will likely rent a similar trailer if we go to London again. As SPF stated, this is a great price. Deals on these are rare, and with the rising cost of aluminum, these puppies just keep getting more expensive.

We might be interested as we have been talking about getting a trailer that would fit either the Cobra (for trips to London and/or Branson) or the Lotus Exige (for track days). Our main issue would be where to store it when we aren't using it. We'll talk about it and see if we are interested enough to come take a look at it, especially as we are not too far away. Would you have time to have us look it over?

Those are exaclty the purposes I purchased it for. It served well. I had the same issue with storage. I pay $45/month for an outdoor storage spot. If I used it more, it would be easy to justify the storage cost, but since having Tommy, we have only used it once in 5 years. I need to find the keys to the storage yard to get pictures and I could certainly find time to meet you over there once I find it.

Here are some pictures...

Keep in mind that the deck and fenders are all aluminum. This thing will shine with a light hit of a pressure washer.

With everything else going on with our schedules, we've decided to table the idea of a trailer for a few years. Thanks!
