After re-reading my first post I can see that there might be a question if he was driving his Cobra when the accident occurred.
To set the record straight, YES, Dave was enjoying a drive in his Cobra when the accident happened.
And a big thank you to Marty H. who kept us informed, while we were all waiting and hoping Dave's outcome had not ended like this.
