Default Sept 9 - British Car Festival

This year's British Car Festival is Sept. 9, 2012 from 9 am - 3 pm
At Harper College, 1200 W Algonquin Rd, Palatine, Il 60067
Registration open from 9 to 12:30
British Car Union
Early registration until Aug 31 (website says 8/21) is $20 for 1st car, $5 for 2nd car. 9/1 to day of: $25/$5

The Austin-Healy Club is sponsoring a "fun rally" the day before the event, as well.

This year, they have added the "Re-creation" specifically for cars like ours, those designed from a British car. Anyone with an original or continuation Cobra will stay in their previous category.

As this will be our first official year with this show, I would love to have a great turn-out, so they can see what they had been missing by our absence.

Kate

I wish I could, but I would rather be on the track. I hope we have good weather for both events.

Let's meet at Red Apple Pancake House around 7:30. It's located at 2121 S Plum Grove Rd, Palatine. Red Apple
It's easy access west of Hwy 53, taking either Kirchoff or Euclid. The restaurant is at Plum Grove and Euclid. We'll only be 3 miles from the show, so we'll leave together around 9.

For those who can't make breakfast, registration goes through 12:30, so there's plenty of time to get there as they'll group us all together. From Hwy 53, take the Algonquin exit west.

Long range forecast looks very favorable with sun, some clouds, and low 70s.

The show map has the replicas in the first row right near the entrance, so we've got a great location. RC is bringing a pop-up tent and club banner, so we'll have some shade.

I have 3 or 4 so far. If we get a better count, we can get spots saved for late-comers.

Nice to meet you too and see everyone. Was a great sunshiny day (I got a little sunburned). We had 5 cars and got to see two old ACs and a continuation car as well. Congrats to Mark for winning best in class!
