Hot Lap Video Motor State Challenge Gingerman Raceway
Racing starts at 1:55. WWF wrestler Goldberg's mechanic in the 1969 Pro Touring Camaro spins out in front of me at about 4:00 which shook me up a little for the rest of the run and missed some apexes and lines. My buddy in his 800hp+ GT500 filmed me from behind. After the second lap I wave him by and my turn to follow, but I didn't have a camera. We played cat-and-mouse much of the day. I beat his best time by about a half second. They guy leading the pack in the '70 Camaro is Brian Fitch, winner of many Pro Touring events and perennial contender at the Optima Ultimate Street Car shootout. He is unbelievably fast. Oh, and my buddy's GT 500 overheated at the end of the video. Too much weight, but he had really sicky tires...
