Keith,

Congratulations on your SPF cobra purchase. I’m certain you discovered that it’s a great car to own and an absolute blast to drive! I own SPF1612 and have enjoyed every moment behind the wheel, burning up 93-octane gasoline, shredding tires, attending car shows, etc.

I’m also a WCCC club member, joining last January at their holiday party. I attended their party hoping to meet additional Chicago metropolitan cobra owners and found myself right at home with people that shared my cobra driving passion. If you have some free time the afternoon of January 23, 2005, may I suggest you attend our 2004 holiday party? It’s being held at Venutis Restaurant on North Avenue, just west of route 83 in Villa Park. I guarantee you an afternoon of great conversation with fellow cobra owners and excellent Italian food.

Once the weather breaks, I’d like to take a drive down South. Perhaps we can meet some place; compare cars and can go for a drive.

Welcome Keith,

Get ready to put a lot of miles on your cobra come this spring. Its gonna be a great year! Keep as many weekends free as possible and keep checking the board cause we usually throw things together last minute. Hope you can make it to the holiday party.

Keith,

Welcome to the club. I was in the same boat a year and a half ago. I got my car in the middle of October. I got to drive it about 600 miles before I had to put it away for the winter. At least we get to look at them all winter.

Guess what, the fun doesn't ever where off.

What color car did you get?

I can't wait to go for a spring run to see it.

Welcome.:MECOOL:

Wat ya city boyz tryan ta lern usans sowt siders howta tawlk na?

RichMusson 01-12-2005 09:24 PM

Arcenio,
You are right; well almost.
I looked it up on my universal sous(e) si spell checker and yes it says the correct spelling is, in fact ‘S-O-U-S S-I’. However, it also says the phonetic spelling should to add a ‘D’; however the ‘D’ is silent. (now only a true Sous si phonetic dictionary would add a letter – then it is silent)

And alternative spelling is offered by old sous sid buddy Dan. He says to put an ‘E’ on the end – since it is like tomato’e’ or potato’e’ an E never hurts. So there you have it.

sous si
souse si
sous sid
souse sid

These are all considered correct.
To be truthful - those of us form that part of the city NEED lots of ways to spell stuff. Otherwise, well you know.

So, if you come on down to da Sow Si, would you prefer Cracker Barrel or Lumes? As I mentioned Cracker Barrel is more central to the Express Way. Or we could do lunch at a familiar stomping ground, Texas Roadhouse!

Y'all ona sous si gotz to figer owt whin 'n wher.%/

RichMusson 01-14-2005 06:56 PM

Okay guys,
I have been reading this threat & referring to my sous(e) si(d) spell checker as well as my sous(e) si(d) grammar checker. Y’all are missing one very important part of sous(e)si(d) grammar. ALL sentences must end in a preparation. There are NO exceptions to this rule.

So, for instance, if the statement happened to be, “I am gunna go to da sous(e) si(d) for a snake & eggs’. The proper response would be “I wanna go WITH”. You see, it requires a needless and confusing preparation on the end on the sentence.

Now, some of you, with the older grammar checker might say – yea but, ‘I wanna go to’ is also acceptable. However, that now is considered improper since it might get confused with the Nortd side grammar checker with would allow, ‘I tink i’m gunna go too’.

Do y’all see the difference?

Badman 01-14-2005 08:19 PM

No Rich, I really don’t see any difference. Are you drinking while typing?? If so, buy me a bottle of whatever you’re drinking and it may become clearer.

Badman

RichMusson 01-15-2005 07:54 AM

Badman,
Yes, drinking definately helps. More importantly spelling helps. The words is 'preposition', as in how to end you sentences.
Not preparation as in 'H' which while is used in the end - well, let's just say it's a different kind of a sentence.
Sorry,
Rich
