				 London Cobra Show '06
Well, we lost the thread, so I figure I will fire it up again. This year looks to be a great year so far! Sure hope I can get the car on the road. Might be my car we are building the week before and rebuilding in the parking lot this year! I am on vacation next week, then after that is the push to get the engine in. I will be needing to take some time to do work in our powder room, as the wife feels it is in desperate need. Also have a lot of work to do in another room before mid-late September. But Maggie has said the engine comes first.
For those members that have never been to the Spring Fling or the London Cobra Show, this is a great event, and looks to be lining up to be even better this year. If you can spare the $$ and vacation days, the "driving school" at Mid Ohio before hand is a bargain.

And remember the club motto, no Cobra left behind!!!

Does anyone have any plans for Thursday between the track days and London show?

You can always join a bunch of us from the WCCC at the Hampton. We will be doing the usual seal coating of the frontage road with fresh rubber warming up for the long weekend. I think a bunch of us will be leaving Chicago early Thursday morning to arrive in Ohio late morning/early afternoon. We will be setting up camp in the parkway between the parking lot and the road.

Great seal coating lessons, any special tools required? Any special skills, besides holding the 12 oz inspection tools level?

Bob,There must be some special tools required. I, myself, have tried to apply a coating on several occasions. I have never been successful at it!
Maybe it has something to do with that 'smokem if you can' statement.
You see my engine only hits on 6 cyclinders & that's only if it has not rained in while.
 Oh well, maybe next year.

		| Does anyone have any plans for Thursday between the track days and London show? | For me...I will certainly need to clean the car. Being local, I'll probably do this at my house.

...but that makes me think....you outta-towners will probably want to do the same thing...So I'll look into getting a car wash area set-up on Thursday. Maybe ask the local Auto-zone to donate some sponges, wheel cleaner, car wash soap...brushes..etc.

After an early morning quick detail...I'll criuse to the hotel area and begin libating ...as the cobras roll into town. |

That is a good idea about Autozone. I'll bet they would be happy to do that. Are all the hotels close together? I am registered at the best value or something. Hanging around talking about cobras and drinking beer is always a good time

You may want to bring a little bleach for Fred the last time he tried to lay a great seal coating the wrong color smoke came out... the expensive kind

				 Getting Ready For Lcs
I've started early this year. I've replaced my interior and master cylinder. I'm doing a little work on the motor. Bought a new TKO 600. Looking for a pair of tires and maybe rims. Cleaned under the hood and under the car. Got the hood repainted. I should have everything together in 2 - 3 weeks. Should?? See ya'll in Ohio in June! Dwight

				 Hotels
All the hotels at the LCS listed share parking lots. The road that the Hotels are on is a very low traffic area with only the Hotels and Salvis Bistro { one of my favorite eating establishments} in the area. |

		| Are all the hotels close together? | You bet! They are all in a "business park" type of arrangement with common parking lots. If you find your-self too far from your home base to grab another cold one....not to worry...they are never out of reach from friendly Cobra-files. Oh yeah...the service road in front of the hotels becomes a mini drag strip as the evening wears on...so pull up a lawn chair and enjoy the spectacle. |

I'm not sure, but this year sounds like it will be bigger that last years.
You fellas working on the car for the drawing make sure you don't scratch the paint on my new car.
Rob, the car wash thing sounds great. Looks like I'll have to leave a little earlier than last year. |

Shoot, you can always come over to my house and wash up the cars!
Rob, perhaps the hotels would donate some water and a couple of hoses to the cause?

Dave, bigger, could be I checked a couple of weeks ago and we already had the same number registered that we did a full 48 days later in '04! And there where 300+ in London in '04. So we very well could be looking at that number or more this year. 100, 200, 300, 400, 500... regardless we are going to have a great time! |

Oh! I almost forgot to mention Mid-Ohio. I don't want one of my favorite Corba Clubs (outside of Ohio that is ) to miss out.

Mid-Ohio is first come first serve and is 40% booked. IF you might attend, you may want to just go ahead and book it to save a spot. If you need to cancel, the cancelation policy is not to bad. Here it is:

If you cancel a class more then 30 day prior to class date you will receive a complete refund less a $50 administrative fee.
If you cancel a class between 15 and 30 days prior to class date you will receive a 50% refund.
If you cancel a class less then 15 days prior to the class date you will not receive a refund.

If you have any questions, give Mid-Ohio a call at: 1-877-793-8667 |

				 Car Wash
There is a car wash about two miles west of the Hampton. It's the second thing we do when we arrive. Wash 550 miles off our cars. I could wait till the next morning but Coach Mike makes me wash my Cobra!

Dwight | Yes, I heard about that new car wash. They claim yellow Cobras from Alabama and all Blue Cobras can drive right through the car wash even without a top on.
You have to see it to believe it!!! It's AMAZING!!!
