Was it a 427 yes.

Frank-as much as I appreciate any positive comments anytime, I'll have to give the return route credit to Fred, with Sid (did I say that out loud?) as his navigator. The clue would be the fact that he was in the lead & I was following. I'll have to take credit for the boring ride down there.
By the way Kim kept up pretty well on the trip, especially on the return trip & it was the fastest she's ever driven on two lane roads, maybe highway too. She said after a while she just followed & stopped looking at the speedometer.
And hey, I got us all the way to Paw Paw on two lanes.

Mike,

I was “tail gate Charlie” for most of Saturday’s ride home and really believed you lead the WCCC caravan. But Arcenio’s and your recent comments indicated my error and that I should have my eyes checked. So, kudos to Fred and Sid for the great twisty river route along backcountry roads and I have corrected my original post to read: Fred, with Sid navigating.
