MrNobody: No offense, but your first indication was me and others telling you. Had you been a little less defensive and posted some of the requested info, you could have known much earlier. Same goes for alloycars. Had they been a little less defensive, they would have quickly learned what they had. In fact, look at the old thread and you will see where they were in fact told. Think of all the arguing and negativity that could have been saved.

In regards to the mustang II suspension, I'll assume that is a typo, however, bolting a MKII suspension onto a MKIV would negate the suspension geometry gains from the updated chassis. Yes they will bolt on, but you would be reversing what you just spent considerable money to gain.

Fact is that aside from the body you don't want, the MKIV has little to offer that would justify spending money on it. You would be way ahead to rebody the MKII and take care of any upgrades while the body is off.

Last thing and I'll bow out unless you ask for information. It isn't lost on me and I'll assume others that you have been unwilling to post a single picture or answer a single specific about your car. While you most certainly have your right to absolute privacy, the attempts get information while providing none, combined with some of the defensiveness does raise suspicion. Regardless, if you need a hand on anything just let me know.

Good luck to you on the venture
Buzz and RodKnock like this.

Sound advice and well said. I hope the interested parties - whomever they may be - really pay attention to this.
