Everything Joyridin' says is correct. The only thing I will add from my experience of bringing a car from out of state is...I went to 3 different DMV stations and got 3 different stories on what I needed to do to get the car registered. I don't think the state does a very good job of educating the DMV employees on these issues. Good luck.
