Taking advice from someone who has never owned a Cobra is not a good idea. However, if the OP needs advice about purchasing a Nissan Leaf, or taking the subway in NYC, then this is THE GUY.

I own a Cobra. I drive it and I give people rides. Whether they're pet friendly is a dumb question. See Blacklemming's response above. There's a passenger seat and you can strap a pet in there, if you wanted.

NYG, don't give advice to a potential Cobra owner, when you have never owned one. And likely have never driven one.

Strange isn't it?

Not so long ago we had a newbie (Mudbrick) asking the same questions regarding a suitable car over on the Australian forum. In no time the thread had degenerated into a poisonous exchange for reasons that escape me.

Luckily we don't have our own version of NYG but even so the vitriol was very unpleasant, to the point that if I'd been the newbie making polite and pertinent inquiries, I'd have asked myself if I really wanted to be associated with such an argumentative bunch running off very short fuses.

I remember once when Jamo pulled us into line over another "lively" debate and there arose some sort of unspoken agreement among us that the goose making the unwanted comments would simply be ignored. These types live for the unrest they cause and if their idiocy is ignored they run out of fuel and the fire goes out.

I'd suggest the same approach here. NYG for all intents and purposes just ceases to exist. It's hard not to crack back at some oaf's blathering but trust me, it works. And just so guys like TN Shelby Cobra don't blow a gasket over the matter, it's very easy to go to your User CP/Edit options/Settings and Options/Edit ignore list. Just enter the name of the person you want to ignore and never again will you be irritated by his comments. Problem solved!

Now lets get back to trying to help Jordanm get himself into something he'll have fun with for a long time.

An easier way to add someone to your 'Ignore List':
  1. Right click on User name (NewYorkGuy) in message, then click 'View Public Profile'
  2. Click on 'User Lists' => 'Add to Ignore List'
  3. The next page is the 'Confirm User List Modification', showing 'Are you sure you want to add NewYorkGuy to your ignore list?' Click 'Yes' to add to your ignore list.

People like NYG are trolls seeking attention, ignore them and they'll soon tire of the game they're playing. No need to get in a lather over such mindless blather.

IMHO...To me at least, giving advise to folks that come and visit here with honest and sincere questions about how to buy their first car, engine or whatever that may cost more than any other purchase seems to me to require some respectful and thought-out advice and not a bunch of silly-ass bull****!

Ok, I'm done

Some of us do indeed let our pets in to our Cobras.

You forgot the gratuitous shot of your hand(s) or now that it's being publicly debated lately, are pics of your hands revealing too much info about you?
