The easy answer is to separate your Cobra key
from all the other items. What wears a keyed
ignition out prematurely causing a fault is dangling
all that from it.
But, if that's not for you, could plug the existing
ignition hole with a "Push To Start" button, then
relocate the ignition key hole where desired.
You would then use the key for power on and
the push botton to momentary crank the starter.
