Hi Dave,
Yes it has to be removed from the left hand side.
Just by chance that was the side I started on.
Had to remove the fuel tank and then take out the upper and lower arms on the suspension.
Then with a bit of swearing you can manoeuvre it out.
It will be a bit easier for you because you have the hoist and your not just laying on floor and hoping you don't drop on your head.
