Thanks Wazza and Ash. Spent the day at the hospital today doing all the preparatory tests. They are admitting me next Monday and surgery next Tuesday. No pig's valves for this baby. I'm going for two of the high performance mechanical ones. They are a bit noisier than the tissue valves, but actually last a lifetime, however long that is. In a quiet room, you can actually hear them opening and closing in unison. Should provide heaps of entertainment. See you guys on the other side.
