Default January 27 or Feb 3??

A meeting date for the FIRST meeting of the Central Valley Cobra Club.....all of you that are interested/in the area,
shall we take a poll on the name or is this one ok with everyone?

Is January 27 ok for a start date, remembering that it might be easier to stick with a set date each month, and this one will just be a starter one? Maybe the 2nd or 3rd Saturday of the month like those guys in the NorCal club?

Does Sunday work better? Probably not, but lets hear your opinions!!!

Throw in your ideas you guys....we need this club to come together, we have alot of Cobras here in this valley....from Bakersfield to as Lodi?????

Jan 27 might not work for me...but Saturdays generally sound good. Screw breakfasts...make it a brunch or a lunch so folks have time to drive. JMHFO

Default Well lets start a contact list..

Lets start a contact list. email address, home address and contact number.
I suggested to Cindy that we hold the first meeting at the Dam Diner in Friant CA. near the Millerton Lake Dam. Fresno area. This would be the first meeting then we could hold the second meeting in the Lodi or Stockton area etc.

Jamo, I have to agree....the breakfast meets can be this spring and summer when it gets like AZ weather!!

On another note....and correct this post if it needs to go in one of its own.....March 22-25 theyre having a film festival/car show here in Oakhurst that is promoting the old films with 60's cars and simutaneously running the films at the theatre here in town with the cars out front in a secured area. I was going to bring this up at the first meet, but it might be something more than just our area Cobras would be interested in!!
They have a schedule of movies going for the entire time, I have to grab the website and post it also.
There is a Carroll Shelby movie too, I was reading, and it looks to be quite an big do for this small town!!

To quote "displays of racing cars, exotics and classics, automobilia and collectible auction, vendors, wine tasting, gourmet foods and more"

sounds pretty cool as long as the weather isnt an issue!!

Keep posting stuff in this single thread, Cindy and others. Once Brent sets up the Central Valley Cobra Forum, it will be easier to move the single thread over there.

Actually, if it's the Dam Diner, I think I can make it for awhile...with a special guest...if it's a morning brunch. Afternoon is taken.

I'm in on the Sat. lunch idea. Humphrey's Station would be a great location for breakfast or lunch.. Some of you locals might know of it, it's at like Sample Rd and maybe Tollhouse?? Nice winding country road. Could be fun.

See Ya

Hey Fitz! the car is running like a champ....a few little tinkerings I need to do, but overall just a great car. Its going back up to Gary as soon as he has time to dial some things in.

as cold as it looks to be here soon, AZ is looking like the place to be!!! Of course its probably cold desert over there too! I have to get the heater switch fixed on my car, its stuck on high & HOT, and while thats nice in the winter, its sucks in the summer!!!

Good to hear the car is running good. Since I replaced my 460 that blew up on the dyno (I had too much crap on the engine), I put Levy's 408 in with some goodies. The thing is really fast and fun to drive. Keep it running. I still like that dark blue color.
