The battery issue was the dumbest thing I’ve ever done. I did nt start the car after I installed it earlier this year . So when I finally got around to starting it it wouldn’t crank. Nothing. Checked the voltage with my voltmeter - 0 volts. WTF.?

Put a battery charger on it for 4 hours. Tried again. Same…nothing.

So I just put the car aside and said **** it.

This week I took the battery out with plans to replace it. And taking it out is a real pits because it’s located in the engine bay in front of the pass footwell.

Well…..after removing the battery I found my issue.

I felt so stupid

Yep, pretty hard to get a good ground with the plastic cap over the negative terminal. Bill, we all have done similar things. Some people will not admit it, but we all have done things like that. You get tired or distracted and it is easy to forget to do something.

That made my day, Bill

We're not telling the truth if we don't acknowledge occasionally doing equally "dumb" things, my friend!

Cheers!

I have also don similar "moments of Ugg". When I upgraded my 67 Mustang to 4 wheel disc brakes, I could't figure out why I could not bleed the master cylinder. Turns out the filler cap on the reservoir had a cap in it that I had missed. Each time I put fluid in it, it spilled out. And I could not fill the system and bleed the air w/o fluid.
