That is a steal at $48,500 if I had a buyer for my ERA, your car would be mine. Wish you the best of luck with the sale.

Just adding my two cents on this Cobra.....
I am in no way related to this sale or seller....
My 289 was being built at the same time as this 427SC car was being assembled at Burtis.
I saw the quality of this build, the extra time/effort/dollars to build this beast.
I have driven this car, it pulls w/ boatloads of torque and the Alcon brakes will stop a bus. The Tunnel Port combined with the Richmond Gear tranny is unbelievable! This car is pretty much bullet proof!
There is close to $80K in this build in 1997 dollars.
Somebody buy it! if I had the cash (or if the timing was better) I certainly would!

Enjoy your new BDR, it's a nice car..........However, if you have never been in a big block powered Contemporary you don't know what you are missing . You can have all the power in the world with your little rousch stroker, but it is nothing like a big block

Ha... that makes me think. One day when I was like 17, at a car show on the Colchester, CT green, there was this red ERA. Big block, no exhaust quieting. He started it to go home, the ground shook, and I said I have to buy a cobra.
I'll enjoy my BDR stroker... I enjoy curves more than straightline... but it leaves me wondering what it sounds like without the exhaust traps quieting it!
