If we get one more person (specifically, a Kirkham Brother) to agree to the "GT40" they can start tooling up and I can take delivery of KMSGT40-001 next February at the Summit.

The Daytona is old news. It will be there. I have a feeling that something else will be there as well. I guess that we will know tomorrow.

I do not think the Kirkhams are inclined to recreate a classic out of materials that did not exist in the originals, and the Monos were steel , not aluminum. It would be an expensive proposition and inaccurate, not a good combo. Besides, SPF already does the GT40 the way it should be done, extemely accurate, much like Kirkham does cobras.

the original gt40s used a pressed steel chassis tub assembly (with roof) and fiberglass panels for front and rear.......

The Alan Mann light weight GT40s had aluminum bodies. I have also been told that aluminum tubs were made.

OK, maybe the "shunk works" is not building a GT40. How about a 1958 Ferrari Testarossa or a P-51 Mustang ?
