Do Weber carbs require high compression or is 9.6ish OK? Will Webers perform OK with a solid lifter hipo reproduction cam?

No, high compression is not a requirement. Like any setup, higher compression can be better........ but only if you have the right fuel!


They ran the old Ford cams in the races back in the day, and they worked to win the races, so why not? Many are running less cam than that with Webers successfully.


What is your engine setup?
