May 21 - Poker Run

My car is still down and out so I'm gonna have to pass.

I will try to make it to the St. Charles car show in the family cruiser.

A few showers early with scattered thunderstorms arriving for the afternoon. Warm. High 84F. Winds SE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

I'm still planning to come to breakfast and will go with the group's decision to drive or not.

Well, there were two (2) brave souls that showed up in cobras and two (2) not so brave who showed up in the other 'C' cars, me being one of them. We had a great breakfast and a little conversation, but the trip was concelled, to much bad weather lurking in the skies towards Pontiac.
So we'll reschedule for another day, to be determined later; watch for the post on Club Cobra. One of these days???

PS: the motor cycle guys run rain or shine, they had at least ten bikes show up, maybe thats what will do next time. they make our club look pretty sad, just saying.....

Sorry didn't make it this morning to have breakfast with you guys. Still were counting the Z's at 8:00am. However we did beat everyone to the St. Charles Car Show at 10:00am. Well there was five of us with our cars and another without who made it to the Car Show. It drizzled for maybe 10 minutes and that was it. No trophies either. Sid was counting on winning since he washed his car last week. Made us all look bad We'll keep an eye out for the new Poker Run date.

Sunday 5.22.11, What a great looking day, these weathermen can't get anything right. This was the rain date for the Poker Run, but not enough interest, will try once again in few months, stay tuned.
