Not Ranked
Default Not trying to be a smart@$$ but

Dennis O'shea Dennis This is something that is not etched in stone. You need to read the plugs and see what the motor likes. If you are running a high voltage ignition system, the gap could be .080". If you are running points, .032". If you are running an MSD system I would start in the .044" range and drive the car for 100 miles, pull the plugs and see the color. You are going to look at the heat range too on the center electriod. As far as plugs, run ONLY Autolites in the motor. If the heads are Aluminum use a LITTLE antiseize to install and remove the plugs. Don't pull the plugs when the motor is hot. Can kill the threads in the head. Some heads have helicoils others don't. Some where between .044"-.060" will be a good place to start. Rick L. Ps they only give you a starting gap. They expect you to either read plugs or take the car to a dyno for a setup.
