The 385 series motors can run more compression than the FE's without detonation problems--mine runs 11.5 to one on 97 octane pump gas without problems--just NO cheap gas! This being the case, you could probably get away with 9.75 or even 10 to one static compression w/ a blower. Would make an awesome combination, if you have the gas available. Even without it, a can or two of Super 104 octane boost per fill up wouldn't break the bank, as little as these cars are driven...
