Default 520 ford stroker procharged build superformance

Hello i am looking for information or pictures of a 429/460 with procharger in a superformance cobra. Just getting ideas while im building mine on how others have mounted the procharger.

I will be useing a f1x procharger probably reverse mounting. I am currently moving the top tower brace forwards for clearance and have gotten rid of the factory radiator shroud and made a much tighter one for more room. Just looking for information from someone who has done it.

Check this thread about a Vortech V7-JT with reverse rotation. It's mounted on a 460 in a West Coast Cobra. Custom mount. Supercharged 460

More info from Paxton Supercharger :
  • 435 CID 385 series Ford, 7.88:1 compression.
  • Custom Vortech V7-JT supercharger setup
  • EFI (custom design, built on OEM Ford EEC-IV)
  • Viper 6spd
  • All under-hood, no bubbles, hickeys, etc are required.
  • 500ft-lbs of torque at 2500rpm, 660ft-lbs of torque at 5500rpm, 660hp at 5500rpm. Peak torque occurs at 5600rpm, meaning peak power will be somewhere up around 6500-7000.
  • Above are rear wheel chassis dyno figures and were produced on a dynojet 248 running only 16deg total advance and 11:1 AFR.
  • Probably another 50-100 HP with added spark advance, but all of them are useless... it's already beyond traction limit

Thanks that kind of what i am thinking about doing. i dont mind having a bit larger hood scoop might do one like the super snake. Im building for performance first.

im currently building the engine its a e85 fueled 520 ford, a460 block 9.8 compression, forged crank, bill miller rods, a460 heads fuel injection most likely holley there able to be boost referenced for controling the ignition timing, going to start with 100 hp nos to help get things moving. Hopefully end up with a quick little car
