Anyone running Dual 4bbls on their 460?
I am buying a Superformance next year and have been wrestling with the 351w-Stroker vs 460 debate. I think I've come full circle back to the 460 for two reasons.
One: The Sound!
Two: the fact that I love the Dual 4bbl look. I have seen duals on a 351 but they use a 289 intake with an adapter plate. The narrower spacing of the Carbs and smaller air cleaners don't look right to me (IMHO).
Here come the barage of questions:
Anyone out there running Dual 4bbls on a 460? Is it tough to keep them in tune? What size Carbs, I am assuming that they would be in the 390 - 500 cfm range. Is low end torque and therefore drivablity affected with this setup? Which intake should I use to avoid hood clearance problems? Anyone have any pictures to share? Lastly (I told you I had a lot of questions. ) Anyone with a spf/460 setup coming to VIR who would be willing to give me a quick ride???
Thanks,
John
