Tim,
Inconel 625, Inco 625 or I625 is a Nickel based stainless steel, that was designed for extreme temperature applications like the exhaust stage components of turbine engines. It has a high resistance to stress caused failure at temps up to 1300 deg. f and high oxidation resistance up to 1800 deg f. It is a great alloy for applications where exhaust temps are very high. But it is very expensive as far as stainless steels go.
