I would hope that anyone seriously considering buying or building an engine, or what have you, would certainly give you a call or email for more info. I would.

Hey Brent, I am not in the market yet but I am thinking of pulling my original 427 and storing it. I might go with a 390 stroker like you have. What is the bore on the referenced block and what oil pump are you installing? What compression will those Probe pistons be designed to run.

Clois

Clois,

The 445FE bore is based on a 390 block, so it's usually a .030" or .040" over 390...which is a 4.080" or 4.090" bore size.

I run Melling HV pumps.

The Probes are available in two flavors, dished (18cc) or flat top (4cc). With the typical 72-74cc chamber sizes from Edelbrock and a zero deck setup, you're looking at around 10-11.5:1 SCR. I can also do Diamond pistons and put the SCR wherever you need it to be.
