You don't have to pay $4K. I received a quote from Foose and Coddington for 17X8 and 17X10 rims with custom backspacing and they were both about $2500 delivered with center caps.

I thought about Torque Thrust rims. They look super nice but everyone has them. You might as well paint your car blue with a white stripe then!
