Buttrick explain your sidepipe trick , I thought running sidepipes meant no muffler , being racecars and all that .

It's really very simple. Sidepipes are generally muffled - usually via a glasspack insert. Todd has two sets of pipes that he can interchange at will - one set is louder and less muffled than the other.

I did it (although not quite finished). Always loved the street version. A few old pics on my gallery.

The pics of your 427 street are after patching the sidepipe hole ? If so you have made my day . Do you have any before pics ?

yup...I bought a set of side-pipe center sections that are "auger type", These have no glass pac mufflers but rather a simple auger like spiral in the center section. I had them welded up by ERA to the existing FFR header piece, added a turn-out at the end, and fitted them up. They are LOUD and no glass pac to deteriorate over time. I also bought a set of "Super Quiet Sidepipes" from Breeze Automotive for the FFR. I run these 90% of the time. They are awesome. I drive a lot in my car and the loud pipes tend to irritate. The quiet pipes simply sound like a healthy muscle car and are silent at highway cruising. These are conventional glass wrap type mufflers in the center section. I seem to feel a tad more torque down low from the quiet pipes . I'm trying to save what I have left of my hearing. I play the drums.
