I saw the end of a show yesterday Sun. 01 \18 The show was Two Guys Garage.When I tunesd in they were patching a tire with somthing that looked like latex.Thats the only part I saw . It was apatch on the inside very large . New product I am sure .Check out thier web site maybe get your answer.

Was it on the sidewall or the flat tread part of the tire. That is legal here and Jack does that for tires that have ran over something and punched a fairly large hole in the tread area. Not sure what kind of patch it is but he has to grind the inside of the tire first to get all dirt and everything out and make a rough surface for the patch to stick to. I have seen him use patches up to around 8 inches across and several inches long. But even a small sidewall puncture here is still not legal to have patched for anything but off road use.

I will reiterate the comments rgarding a sidewall puncture...Don't do it. Radials are especially sensitive since that's where they flex.
About a dozen years ago the owner of a Suzuki GS1150 brought in his bike that his dog had chewed the front fender off. It was plastic...but still...
I think there was some other damage, but the missing front fender was the most memorable.
