Wayne, it depends on the grooves, usually we replace them.
- are you sure the TO bearing was the right one for the Input shaft bearing retainer >? sometimes we find that people use a 4 speed TOB with a TKO and it rattles and creates grooves.
Would be good to meausre out with a caliper and see. -- whilst you are in there a bearing retainer is not a big deal, if you are careful.
