GREAT TO SEE 2 MANUFACTURERS FIELDING RACE EFFORTS.

Cashburn,
I am sorry I got in your face about this. I think my comments were over the top and I apologize.
We are all very passionate about these cars. I am biased towards Superformance, but I have respect for all of the manufacturers still standing in this crummy economy.
I think my passion overflows a little too much sometimes.

Jack,
That was very classy. Congrats to the SPF roadster that came in 3rd - very impressive. I'm curious, was it "set up" or was it in "as-delivered" form from the dealer? What engine was it running?

It was a standard production SPF MK III that was "set up" by Olthoff racing, i.e. alignment, ride height, etc. Nothing more than bolt on parts. The engine is a Roush 427 SR, the street motor. The real story is Edward Sevadjian who normally races a Grand Sport Corvette, had NEVER DRIVEN AN SPF MK III BEFORE! And he placed third!
Superformance does not build a "race" version of the MK III. We do offer an "R" version GT40 set up for vintage racing but Dennis Olthoff's GT40 is not one. That said, Dennis has done numerous modifications, roll cage, brake ducts, etc. to turn the prototype street MK II into a vintage racer.

Mark IV - thanks for the info. Probably beginners luck (obviously kidding here - not trying to start a war!) Great driving, great car.
Cashburn - tell me more about the "just a well built SMALL BLOCK FORD". Is it in the same league as the Roush 427SR?
