Use sheet metal - steel.

Thin Aluminum that is bent is at a high risk a cracking in the bend.

I just took measurements of the broken one, corrected some fit issues it had, drew it out, cut it out, and took it to a shop with a metal brake to bend it. Then I painted it black.
