Not too good to be true, it just seems like a decent deal. I'm wondering about the quality of the basic machine.

Do some research. These guys are from Florida, the scam state. They were under a different name a few years back under investigation by the atourney general and changed their name to Street Beasts. Took peoples money, did not ship the kits and if they did half the parts were missing. There were stories of customers chasing them for over a year or more for the back ordered parts. Like Mr Mustang said walk away fast. You asked for advice, you got it.

I got it that the company is bottom of the barrel. What I'm looking at is a complete kit with motor , trans, suspension , basically everything to build it for about 16k. I haven't seen it yet. What I'm asking is wheter or not the kits were worth a damn or not? The guy who has it is local so I can see it first hand and take inventory of everything. he lost his job, needs the $$ and wants to bail out on it to pay bills.

If all the "stuff" is there then I wouldn't have to deal with the company at all. I want to do my homework on the machine. I had ruled the company out 2 years ago when they wouldn't quit calling and emailing. Anybody that persistent is NFG in my book.

If you have access to the parts list and all the parts are there then its probably up to your build skills. I've seen one and the frame is ok and the body is ok. There are several around here who have finished examples.

SORRY! Original post was honest and to the point, but I would just be another guy that the "owner" has and still IS suing people for stating the facts! I would love to have bottomless pockets, I'd hire Jamo and the other Pros to......

As a Street Beasts owner and almost two years into the build, I can tell you you: RUN RUN RUN!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless you enjoy frustration and throwing money down the drain, find something else.

Now, after fixing a ton of problems and such, mine is almost done and will look as good as any other. It's just all the problems I had to work through.

I knew their State nickname started with an "S" but just couldn't remember.

Thanks.
