I use spray glass cleaner (windex or whatever equivalent is in the house) with cheap paper towels. Soft ones don't work as well.

The problem space is the inside (not on Cobras, but regular vehicles). The outgassing of the plastic creates a nasty film that is really hard to get rid of. It always streaks. When I got my windshield replaced I got a can of a foamy spray stuff from the glass company and that works really well. I've also used a water/vinegar/denatured alcohol concoction that cuts through it too.

Use water, clean microfiber or clean towel. Use no fabric softener or fabric softener sheets for drying towels or microfiber.

Windex has a sludge residue in it which later turns to a haze. The shinny stuff for dash and plastic and leather are pretty aweful too.

If you need to get off road grime, paint or other stuff use a clay bar with the spay it comes with.

My wife gave me a towel called "the Ultimate Cleaning cloth"
Uses water only, leaves no streaks .
Wet towel and wring out, wipe windshield.
Never saw anything like it!
Marie sells them at all of her craft shows for 5.00 ,money back guarantee
Best part no more chemicals and you can wash it when it gets to dirty.
I use it on my car windshields and Marie uses one for everything around the house.

And here's a technique hint.

Wipe one direction on the outside (say, up and down) and the counter direction on the inside (side-to-side.) That way, if (when) you see streaks you know instantly if they're on the inside or outside of the glass.
