As ERAChas pointed out, even a seemingly innocuous thread like this one can end up having "something for everyone." Lesser experienced wrenchers learn a lesson on fasteners, while those with decades under their belt get the opportunity to reminisce over a long forgotten wrench, comment on a bizarre new-fangled torquing technique, or shudder over a poorly designed import car from their past. There was even room for outliers like RodKnock to get on the taffeta train. Yep, I think everyone should now add a post telling me how thankful they are that I start threads like this.  |
