You say different process? I say it's all part of the puzzle to get your car legally on the road here in CA. Nothing is terribly difficult, just time consuming.

Hi

Just read the link you provided, it states that only commercial vehicles require weight certification below 10,000 lbs. since our cars are not commercial vehicles this should not apply.

at least that his my understanding after reading this link
