Default Source for Jag/Salisbury differential parts?

Where is a good place to find the Jag Salisbury differential parts? I need some (4) stub axles (axles only), (2) companion flange (26 spline for Dana 44), (2) pinion bearing sets with pinion nut/washer, shims, ring gear bolts, and a few other parts to complete the 2 Kirkham differentials I bought at the scratch and dent sale. I could also use some torque specs if they are handy.

Thanks in advance,
Bob

I believe the business redmt is referring to is Jaguar Heaven.

Nope, It's just a guy in Stockton that builds hot rods. He has a small pile of them behind his shop. I picked one up for a bunch of misc. parts I needed for mine. I can get his name and # if anyone is interested. It's not one of those flashy type shops, just a guy building customs basically in a shop behind his house.

Is the rear cover the same on the Jag/44 as the truck/jeep 44?

The only difference is the height of the oil fill hole. For the jeep cover you need to lower the fill level about 1 in lower than the bottom of the fill hole.

Nick,
Thanks for the source. I don't think I have that electronic file yet. If you have a chance to send it I would appreciate it.

I guess the problem I'm having is I'm not familiar enough with the differences between the Jag Salisbury parts and the Dana parts. Some of the bearing install kits I see are marked "not for Dana differentials", etc..
I don't want to buy a lot of expensive parts that aren't going to fit in these differentials and I can't find a site that tells me since these Kirkham differentials don't have the markings that the Jag differentials do.

Are the stub axles and parts from a Series I, II, III or some other style? Are all the stub axles all the same length or are different years different lengths and sizes?

I finally figured out yesterday that the Dana 44 pinion bearing kits will work but I don't know which companion flange I will need since there seem to be several different styles.

If CWI hadn't closed down, I'm sure I could just give him a call and ask a few questions and I would be done and parts ordered. Maybe George Petrus? The adventure of building one of these cars goes on.....

Bob

Bob,

Here's some Jag IRS info I put together a few years back:

http://www.firstcoastcobraclub.com/v....php?f=8&t=167

There's some stub axle info in there too.

Enjoy,

Tom
