It's actually pretty easy, and I will give you the secret to success and happiness in the Cobra replica game. If an aluminum body is important to you, then buy a Kirkham. If not, then buy an ERA. If you follow that advice you will be happy regardless of what your goals for the car may or may not be. Trust me, I'm right. And I am as sure of that as I am the Baltimore Catechism.

Patrickt,
Right about the Kirkham, but why would someone want that extra roll bar? It is like having a 3rd nipple isnt it? (just kidding)

You've actually stumbled in to the second hardest part of the task -- deciding what you want the Kirkham or ERA folks to put on the car for you. I know when I was up there, chatting with Peter and Bob, both said they'd build the Eiffel tower and put it on my Cobra if I wanted them to. All I had to do was ask... and pay for it, of course.

Well, I would add that your fiberglass options are greater than that. We have at least a few reputable SPF (MKIV) and BDR (Cashburn) dealers who will also make you feel happy about your Cobra purchase. All different price points.
CSX too, but none come to mind late on a Sunday night.

Now, as you know, my advice is not the only road to success and happiness in the Cobra replica game, but it is a sure-fired path. Now, did you do any Cobra driving in 2011?

One, ERA is a very long sure-fired path to success and happiness.
Two, are you saying that ordering a BDR, as an example, from Vintage Motorsports, is NOT a sure-fired path to success and happiness?

But even the longest journey begins with a single step. And that step is a phone call to New Britain or Provo.

There are only two sure-fired paths. All other paths may lead one to the land of Happy Cobradom, where Cobras jump over rainbows and moonbeams always find you smiling, but it is not a sure thing. If you want a sure-thing, you must go with ERA or Kirkham, sorry.

Ive seen a few ERA in person and wasnt that impressed, and they have the worst website out there, the pictures look like they are from the 1970, maybe thay want that original look before there were computers, ever hear of high definition. I would buy an spf or kirkham before an era, which is what I did. Every man is entitled to his opinion.
