Kirkham Vs Ferrari 458 Italia in ¼ scale

After purchasing a 458 Ferrari at the Naples Ferrari Club car show last weekend we had all we needed to set up our drag strip shoot out. Our Ferrari was stock but had to go up against a Kirkham with a SB 427 Chevy 800HP engine (God forbid). The Kirkham had no problem with traction and actually pulled the front tires a foot off the pavement and shot out a car length ahead of the Ferrari in it’s pursuit of the finish line. If we had used the Christmas tree the Kirkham would have had to spot the Ferrari as the Kirkham had no problem breaking into the 9 second bracket. I guess it also helped that the Ferrari pushed it so hard the Ferrari engine went up in smoke.
