And todays incarnation of AC Cars puts GM LS engines in their Cobra. And I have been told that todays incarnation of Shelby American has installed at least a dozen Gm LS engines in Continuation Replica Cobras ( I guess thru factory authorized shops) So they are all real Shelbys and ACs ,for whatever that is worth, but are they Real Shelby-Ford-AC COBRAs ,,,,NOPE !!! Facts don't change.

Not worth replying to.

I can't tell if your comments are directed towards me, but I'm NOT "incessantly knocking him down" aka personal attacks.

If Evan owned a CSX2000 or CSX3000 from the 1960's, then there would be no discussions at all, because he would own a real genuine original Shelby Cobra. Period. But for those 1,000 cars built 50 years ago, every other Cobra produced subsequently, are replicas, clones, including those being built by a company called Shelby, from 1996-present.

Some people at SAAC, likely over the uproar of many, decided to add the Shelby replicas, Shelby decided to call them "Continuation Series" for marketing purposes, because "true replica" wouldn't sell well, and then more recently added Kirkham Cobras too.

Not sure how that's a personal attack or "incessantly knocking him down" since I own a Kirkham and I think it should be kicked out of the Registry as well. Am I knocking myself down too? My objection is about semantics of the words "real", "genuine" or whatever adjective du jour. If anything, he thinks he attacked me by labeling me a "liberal."

He's already agreed that it's a replica. So I'm good. :)

In case you guys haven't noticed, Real 1 is a master of obfuscation.

His license plate, though 100% accurate, is designed to misrepresent the value and history of his vehicle to the general public, thus inflating his perceived status.

His tag line at the bottom of all his posts, though 100% correct, makes readers think that he is, or was, an Army Ranger. I know I did. He wasn't! Once again, serving to inflate his perceived status.

Notice how he generally try's to take the offensive and rarely addresses all the facts? Typical lawyer speak. He bills by the hour, thus a yes/no question will elicit a three paragraph response. And none of it will answer your question. And when he has no response, he will denigrate the other party in an attempt to make them feel "less than" and put them on the defense. Another good lawyer tactic.
Remember, the best defense is a good offense. And, if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull--it. And finally, like any good lawyer knows, deny, deny, deny.

Individuals that have this kind of personality are fun to mess with. Their personal worth and status is directly tied to their possessions. Thus, to admit to it would destroy their personal foundation.
Trying to get Real1 to admit to the public that his cobra is no better than a mere replica will never happen. His self image is tied to the deception.

Now, watch how he will try to degrade me personally (or attack my car) or accuse me of being an amateur psychologist rather than address the issues. He is a master of deflection. Same BS, different day.
But, not once will he admit to his deceptions.

I apologize if I've gone too far, but I have grown tired of reading his attempts to deflect the issues and his repeated attempts to talk down to others. He obviously has a need to feel superior to all of us. Usually that stems from a severe inferiority complex. And nothing we can do or say will change him.

1. Yes, they haven't noticed. That's why I am "master of obfuscation". ;) It took someone as insightful as you to point it all out.:LOL:

2. You apparently determined that my license plate though 100% accurate is still "designed" to misrepresent (implying some nefarious intent on my part) as evidenced by this gem "His license plate, though 100% accurate, is designed to misrepresent..." Uh, Ok. So lets see.... not only do you know what my "intent" was by requesting my particular vanity plate this all comes from a guy with a car that does not even qualify as a "replica" according to the technical Webster dictionary definition of the term and whose car is an imposter of a Shelby Cobra in every respect (whether original or continuation series) whose car at the same time bears a vanity plate "427Sn8k" when this fake Cobra is not even powered by a real 427 and is as close to a Shelby 427 as the model on my desk as stated previously. So tell us, what snake were you conveying you car is? A Garter snake?, Gopher snake? Wait... a Brown snake? Coral snake? Tell us.:LOL:

3. You tend to read way to much into things and make rush to assumptions where they shouldn't be made. That's you problem I think. Never said I was a Ranger. My Tag line no way implies I was or am. However, my father was. I am a supporter of the military. I am proud of his service and the military in general and especially fond of the Rangers. You seem to have a natural talent for making yourself look silly.

4. Yes, I like taking the offensive. I prefer it. Being Jewish and a big Israel supporter I have the Israeli attitude that if you "F" with me I will "F" with you 10 times harder. That's just me. ;) . As to the "facts"... I have given them to you and the others here over and over. I have tried to help you and the rest of the land of the lost with facts, logic, reason, authoritative texts going step by step. The only thing left to do now would be to draw you pictures with crayons. Also, the denigration started from your side of the fence. I just returned the favor in a painfully truthful way. You guys remind me of Hamas in your strategy. Firing missiles and then crying foul when they get their a$$e$ handed to them and painting Israel as the aggressor.

5. I haven't attacked you personally. If I called you a "clown", a jerk, a moron, creep or something like that that would be attacking you personally. Also I don't need bullchit to baffle you. You seem baffled enough by the simple facts. Look, I'm sure you are a nice guy and just lost and frustrated on this subject though and perhaps looking to make yourself feel better by denigrating what you don't own but that's understandable. Envy. Its a human weakness. I fully understand.

6. I see you now know what good lawyers do! You must have heard that on T.V.

7. You have not gone too far. Please don't offer disingenuous apologies. By CC standards this is nothing. You are par for the course here.. You denigrate Shelbys while complaining that I have denigrated your cars by merely pointing out the obvious. Accusing me of personally insulting you and others when I have not (apparently you don't understand what a personal attack is) while at the same time stating I have an "inferiority complex" and nothing will "change me". That implies something about me personally. That is a personal attack. Not complaining. Its just par for the course here. Also stating my plate while "100% accurate is designed to misrepresent" while "427SN8K" is affixed to the rear of your "pretend" Shelby Cobra. This is all hysterical to me. Classic.

Carry on gentlemen.

Rodknock,
I wasn't calling anyone out specifically. It's just the argument moved to Rangers and the like.

[And this is not directed towards you, either] So, Evan's not a Ranger? Do we know for sure? Who cares? If he was, I'd care. If he said he was yet wasn't, then I'd say he's a fraud. Maybe he's a fan? Maybe he has a relative in the Rangers? Maybe someone he knows gave their life? When I see a car with a NASA sticker on it, I don't ASSume they're an astronaut or a rocket scientist.

Many of us have Cobra emblems on our.....ah, forget it **)

Wait a minute. Wasn't Superman an illegal alien? Deport him now!

Bernica 09-03-2015 04:42 PM

I for one have no problem with the car I have, telling folks its origin or the fact that it was produced some 30 years later. I am also grateful I have been fortunate enough to even have the car. Some of us should remember that.

Just sayin' and I'm out...

Superman at least fought for truth, justice and the American way and assimilated to our culture, spoke the language and didn't mooch off the system at the expense of the American taxpayer.

If only more illegal aliens were like him.

Dimis 09-03-2015 05:18 PM

Oh C'mon... Superman is about as REAL as Evan's... Never mind...:p

OK OK OK - I'll stop now... :D

It wouldn't matter if he fought for truth, justice and the American way, nor would it matter if he assimilated to our culture, spoke the language and didn't mooch off the system at the expense of the American taxpayer. All of that doesn't matter, he would have to be rounded up and deported under your candidate's plan.

The only problem with deporting Superman is that he can get back into the country since he could either go under, through or over the big new wall. This plan would assume, of course, that you could incarcerate Superman until his deportation hearing, assuming again, he gets one under your candidate's plan.

Would any owner of a Shelby Cobra Continuation Series (REPLICA) have an issue with telling folks that it's origin (Shelby American, Inc.) and that it was produced 30-50 years later? Anyone?

Every Shelby is "genuine", "authentic" and/or "real" because it was built by Shelby, correct?

1. No. Already do.

2. If its a Shelby its a Shelby. Self evident.
