Don't know what those wagons go for but i'll bet a shelby version will bring more than a non shelby. ;)

Mines not on the road yet, but after all this debate I might be getting personalized plates that read: fake 1. And put some stickers on it that say experimental. Like one of, ultralight aircraft. Maybe make up some business cards explaining the whole kit thing.

Is this old thread resurrection month?

I have to wonder though - is Shelby's chili mix worth more than non-Shelby chili mixes? Or does it just make you "go" faster? %/

I'm guessing you bet about $30,000 that what you believe is true. That must be why you spend so much effort here protecting your investment.

No, it's an illusion!

Yeah mrmustang. I tried killing that other Zombie thread and it didn't work either.

RodKnock 08-28-2015 11:42 AM

Honestly folks, you don't have to put everything into words and post it. A little dementia, in this case, is actually good.

In case you haven't noticed I am severely outnumbered here last I checked so I doubt any effort to protect my investment would be effective even if my efforts had anything to do with it. The market has done the protecting for me. I'm just here to make sure there is a voice for accuracy and fairness. Someone's got to do it. ;)

I don't know about his chili being worth more than other chilli but his cars are usually worth more than other similar cars.

BTW: Can you still get Shelby's Chili? I would like to try it. That is if it doesn't cost to much. :D

Only if you consider opinions "accuracy."

REAL 1 08-28-2015 03:42 PM

I for the most part stick to facts but my opinions are also correct.

Yes, I regurgitated this on purpose. In the other regurgitated thread, I mentioned that I would find an old thread and make a random comment in it. I ended up grabbing this classic that was still open (most of these diatribes are closed). But I ended up not posting a random question (as was done to restart the other thread), but just decided to give this one a sarcastic post to see what would happen.

I was pleased to see that it sat quietly for 2-1/2 days. It really was surprising to see that everyone was able to hold their tongues. But alas, it was not to be.

One of these days there will be a national "Is it real" conference. We will all get together face-to-face and hammer this out. Then an official publication will come out that will declare the official responses approved by the Is It Real committee. There will be training videos showing you how to respond and also followup responses depending upon what the comeback is from the inquirer.

Local chapters will be formed to adjust the responses to the local vernacular. The local chapters will have workshops where people can practice their answers in real-world situations.

Finally, there will be tests at random car meets where we will send in secret is-it-real testers who will go up to fake Cobras and ask them "Is it real?" and record their responses.

....and all I'm drinking is a soda water.

REAL 1 08-29-2015 06:52 AM

Don't need that. We already have the SAAC World Registry of Cobras & GT40s. It's already been dealt with. Highly recommend you buy one.

My responses are dictated by that authoritative text so I don't need to hammer anything out. I'm good thanks.
