2415 pounds, what does yours weigh?
I've been curious on the actual weight of my cobra , so I took it to the recycling center the other day and weighed her in on their digital scale.
2415 pounds with a quarter tank of gas.
Just wondering what others way in at?

1.950lbs
In 1993 I built a UK RAM with all aluminium 496cui Chev. I built it it on scales.
Once I was safely under 2.200lbs (1.000kg) I stressed less. The result was 1.950 lbs with some potential for less.
It still had the XJ brake calipers, heavy 6-pin knock-off adapters and heavy diff.
Boot and bonnets were single skin, single seater windscreen, hardly any interior.

My Lonestar weighs 2400 even. 351w iron heads. Too bad its 2600 with me in it. I weighed the thing on the scales when I worked tech inspection for a SCCA race here in Houston. Next time I go I want the corner weights so I can dial in the QA1s.

Mine weighs 2682 with me in it and a full tank of gas. It's professionally set up for the track (road course)...LF 625 RF 614 LR 736 RR 707 46.1 % front weight and 53.9% rear. Big block 428 with 614 hp engine set back 2 1/2" handles like a small block in the turns. Best money I ever spent on the suspension set up.

Why do most of these cars weigh so much? My COBRA is not finished yet,but I was hoping to be under 2300.

Quite interesting how the weights differ - drastically! And not only because of the engine.
