That's like including the original strings on a vintage Martin D-28!!

The more original parts that come with an original Cobra the better. That doesn't mean the battery is still being used.

You wouldn't want to drive on those Blue Dots either, but they're nice to have.

This is a very nice Cobra.

I see what you mean.....if the car is sitting in a museum, not to be run on a daily basis, then the dead battery is just fine, it makes the car more "period correct" even if it won't fire up the car.

The Blue Dots, if they hold air, would serve the same purpose.

I didn't think of it that way....the analogy to leaving the original guitar strings on an old Martin was flawed....there's NO benefit to doing that!

Cheers from Dugly

Who said the battery will not 'fire' the car?
By the way, this car does not sit in a museum. It is driven regularly. It joined 29 other original Cobras in Wyoming last year for a 1000 mile tour through Montana, Idaho and Wyoming.
