upper control arm bushings?
I need a part number on the upper control arm bushings used on a nine year old B&B. They are after market tubular Mustang II arms.
They may be the same bushing that Shell Valley uses or several of the other companies.
The bushings measure 1.167" outside diameter and .625" inside and 1.4" long (wide).
I've tried a couple of parts store but you know the story, "make and model, please".
I contact B&B but so far they have not given me a part number. They did tell me they do not stock them because stopped using them a few years ago.
I am sure I can pick them up local if I knew the part number.
Can anyone help??
Dwight

Dwight,
I know your problem. You need to find out who made your control arms. If not, you can go to McMaster Carr and order urethane bar stock and have a shop make them. Thinking you need around 90 durometer.

If it is a steel slevved bushing, NAPA and most larger parts sources have a catalog that lists the bushings by dimensions. You can determine the P/N that way.

control arm bushings
I checked a couple of part stores and they do not have them listed by size. We do not have a NAPA store close to me.
Could not find one on Energy Suspension site.
Somebody has to know. I think Shell Valley, Lone Star and others use the same bushing.
HELP
Dwight

Check the outer diameter, it seems like a funny number. Take a look also at the 9.8116 here 9.8116 or just send them an e-mail or call them with your dimensions. You gotta be able to find it here Suspension Restoration Parts Co. - 4 - Bar bushings,Fabricators page

control arm bushings
Thanks Slow Dawg
I received the bushing today from International Whs. (Shell Valley).
Now I can put them in and get this Cobra on the road.
