Looks cool..........anyone actually running one a big HP FE? What kind of fuel system modification has to be done and will it work with a big cam....I really haven't seen any of these fuel injected type systems work very well in the past on big motors.........

I run twm stacks,runs great,dyno'd at700hp.

Took several years to tuning tho...

I drive between 4000 at 11000 feet in altitude without issue. If your going to do stacks you need to be prepared to invest lots of timt in learning.

It say they use the Classic Fuel Injection, I thought that was a self tuning setup.

I bought a GT 40 with this system on it. The builder did not install it correctly and I had a lot of problems. I called Dynaformance who sold the system and they told me that they had sold the company to Accuform mfg. I emailed Accuform and received an email from Bob the owner. He told me they had manufactured most of the parts for Dynaformance and they had called him to see if he wanted to buy the company. He bought the system back from them. (I'm happy he did) I explained my problem and he got me in contact with Dale. They have shipped me parts and DVD programs to help me get my car running.
They have gone out of the way to help me. I bought the car from a guy who bought the system from a company no longer in business. But have gone the extra mile (miles) to help me.
The system looks great and I have had it checked out and all the parts and pieces look good and there is no reason to believe that it will not perform as design.
I should have it running it a couple of weeks. I have a dyno shop that can help me fine tune it.
I have plans to build a 347 and use the Classic Eight Stack on the new motor.
Shooting for 500 flywheel hp. Just about right in a GT 40.

when they say "Classic Fuel Injection " they are actually refering to their own hardware not the electronics. A bit confusing I know but for a time after Accuform purchased the deal from Dynaformance they called the system "Classic Fuel Injection " and only recently called it Eight Stack.
There was a lot of negativity about the previous owners, Dynatek and, rightly so, they are trying to distance themselves from the problems therein.

We are the UK dealers/ installers for EightStack and have dealt over the recent past with both the previous owners and now Accuform. There is no comparison, Accuform is a top notch company and the product is now great.

We have probably installed more of these kits than anybody else and have more on order and in the pipeline. We use Accel DFI for all our kits and IT WORKS so if anybody needs any info on the Eight Stack kits, please ask.

Which Accel system? My Roush setup used the Gen 7 version and from experience I can tell you that unless some very careful attention has been paid to the altitude compensation table it will not work well at 5000' if the calibration was done at sea level. Furthermore, the lack of backpressure invalidates the table if the calibration was done on a classic exhaust system (e.g., Mustang) vs. the side pipes of the Cobra [as Roush can now confirm].

yes, we use the Gen 7, the Thruster ECM is OK but you really need the capability of the GEN 7 in case you come accross any tuning "issues "
Agreed, the Roush calibrations do need work but at least with the GEN 7 it is something you can do.
It may suprise you but actually, in the UK, driving at 10000ft or 5000ft for that matter is not an issue as there isn't anything at 10000 ft ! ( or 5000 )
However the Accel ECM is the only plug and play that does have an altitude compensation capability built in so when we go touring in the Alps we are all set up ( maybe next year !)
I don't think the self learning stuff is really suited to an IR system, too many variables, better off with something you can control.

Dynaformance supplied a kit comprising various manufacturers stuff and their own wiring harness. The ECM was a generic unit by Redline/ Piranha and you supplied your own MSD distributor. You can still get that kit from Eight Stack and if you just want something that starts up and runs then I suppose they're OK. I have to say the kit was complete to the last nut, bolt and vac pipe and you get quite a nice instruction booklet but it does not have the capabilities that an IR system really needs.
