Yes I will stay in Carmel. Anne has the Hearst Castle on the list. Thanks confirms her thoughts of a visit.
Just planning the road trip now....
Really enjoying San Fran. We have done a lot here in a short time. I love the buildings and the history.
I reluctantly jumped on the "Hop On and Hop Off" double decker buses - but they have been a great way to see the city. The guides on the bus really know their stuff.
Either that or they just make it up as they go, but I was really impressed... 
The only down has been the trip over the Golden Gate that was covered in fog. So I have planned the trip tomorrow to start a little later, to get a midday crossing and hope it will be clear.
Heading up to see DenBeste Motorsport via the redwood area.
