It's great to hear that Doug's Cobra if finally heading to Houston to get put together.

I had the good fortune to spend a long weekend with Doug last September at the Goodwood Revival over here in England and he's a great guy to spend time with. He has some great stories to keep you entertained although he can snore with the best.

Hi Doug,
I'm delighted to hear that it is finally happening for you and you're getting to see your Cobra again after so long. Keep the faith and you'll soon be behind the wheel.
Kindest regards,
Paul

Default Stay Safe.

Elmariachi Jim have a safe trip. You are across the street from where Golden pond was shot. I am not sure about the name or the color of the water. There is a small mom and pop store about 2 minutes down the street before you hit DV shop. He has enough room to turn around in the yard. Drive way on the left side and looks like you are going into the wood. DON'T follow mapquest, everything is wrong and has you on the wrong side of the road.
Make sure everything is tighted down. I thought everything was good but something allways comes loose. Again safe trip, it's all down hill once you leave DV place. Doug sound good, talked to him last weekend. You guys win the mileage award. I won the drive it alone award both times. Can't wait to see this car run. It's covered about 6,000 miles and tires have flat spots. This is without a motor in it. Later Rick L.

Okay, brand new day but it's friggin wet and overcast on Golden Pond. Y'all need to cut down some of these trees and build some strip malls up here. 113 miles to go and the old jet jockey is driving.

Okay guys, the car and all the parts are loaded. There will be plenty of pics on the other end, we are wanting to get southbound. It was good to meet Ed and his wife. They have a great place in the woods.

The car is beautiful and I know Doug is thrilled to have it behind us in the trailer. More updates later.

Thanks for all the posts.

I can tell you guys firsthand that both of these men run high octane fuel in their cars and in their hearts.
What they’re doing for Doug is truly amazing, but for those that know Bill and Jim it’s probably not surprising.

Take care guys

you know guys, there is this little car race tomorrow in a town called Indianapolis, not far from your planned route. Pointy cars going very fast around an oval... In case you're not in a hurry, I highly recommend checking it out. I did it in '93 and it was an unforgettable experience.

I have been following this story for some time and am very happy that you guys have stepped up to get this project moved to Texas. Now it is going to be even more exciting to see this saga get completed. Have a safe trip home and again thanks for your effort. Can't wait for the next installment!!

Regards, Sam

Jay
I think they are at Bill's sister's place in Indiana for a respite... at least that is what I thought he said was the plan. They'll probably be back on it tomorrow and check in...
