When it gets boring.

If you hit the go pedal and don't get a smile, or at least a small grin, it's time for some more power.

On the flip side, if you don't need to push the pedal to get a bigger smile, you probably have enough horsepower (and possibly the wrong car...for not wanting to give it some gas).

I have around 300hp. Is it enough? Sure. Do I want more? Sure.

Don't fall victim to the "more is better" syndrome, maybe 5% of the guys here with claims of 500+ HP actually use it, the other 95% couch race with their HP/Torque charts and don't have the balls to push a 350 HP motor

I don't have a Cobra. I have a 1969 Mustang with a 521 stroker. 637 ft pounds of torque at 2700 rpm. (I posted the dyno chart on cc a while back). Over 500 horse & with the push of a nitrous button have 500 more horses. It's plenty enough. It's plenty enough for a street car without the nitrous. It's a full tube frame chassis car & is set up to hook for straight line driving. I'm in the 9s for a quarter mile & yes, it is plenty of fun. The age old question of how much is enough or not enough will never be answered in numerics. It's answered by what are you content with.....................
